Dott.ssa Michela Beccaglia
In 2002, she graduated with honors from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Milan, where she obtained her PhD in Veterinary Clinical Sciences in 2006, under the supervision of Prof. Gaia Cecilia Luvoni.
From April to September 2004, she spent a period of specialization in reproductive medicine in California under the supervision of Dr. Autumn Davidson, rotating between the University of California Davis (CA), the Canine Companion for Independence, Santa Rosa (CA), and the Animal Care Center of Sonoma County, Rohnert Park (CA).
From 2006 to 2010, she held a research grant at the University of Milan.
In 2009, she graduated from the European College of Animal Reproduction (ECAR) with a subspecialty in Small Animal Reproduction.
From 2012 to 2016, she was Editor and then Vice-President of the European Veterinary Society for Small Animal Reproduction (EVSSAR).
From October 2015 to November 2019, she was Vice-President of the Italian Society of Veterinary Reproduction for Companion Animals (SIRVAC) and from November 2019 to November 2022, she is President of SIRVAC.
From 2011 to 2023, she was health director of the Beccaglia Veterinary Clinic in Lissone (MB), and in 2023 she founded and became health director of Reproforpets, which expanded in September 2024 with an operational headquarters in Carate Brianza (MB).
Since 2019, she has been the health director of the Lions Guide Dog Center in Limbiate (MB), where she manages preventive medicine and the breeding of guide dogs for the blind.
Dr. Beccaglia has published articles in international journals and is a speaker at numerous international and national conferences for veterinarians and breeders.
She is co-author of the book “Riproduzione del Cane e del Gatto” (Reproduction of Dogs and Cats) published by EDRA in May 2024.
In 2025, she obtained the title of General Practitioner Certificate in Practice Management and Administration (GP Cert PM&A) ISVPS.
