Dr. Daniela Giretto
Dr. Giretto graduated with honors in 1994 from the University of Turin. In 1996, she obtained the Certificat d'Études Supérieures en Ophtalmologie Vétérinaire from the École Nationale Vétérinaire de Toulouse and, the following year, she specialized in Pathology and Clinical Medicine of Companion Animals at the University of Pisa.
Since 1994, she has regularly participated in national and international conferences, and since 2006, she has been a speaker and lecturer at conferences and wet labs, which she continues to do today. She is the author of several scientific articles published in Italy and the United States, and in 2017 she contributed to the chapter on retinal diseases in the book “Spontaneous Animal Models for the Study of Human Physiology and Pathology,” in collaboration with the University of Turin.
Since 2013, she has been the official Italian panelist for the certification of hereditary eye diseases. She is a founding member of ANVO (National Association of Veterinary Ophthalmologists) and currently a member of the association's scientific committee.
She works as a freelancer at her clinic in Melzo (MI) and collaborates with various facilities in Lombardy and Liguria as an ophthalmology consultant.
